Jang Geun Seuk's BEL AMI (Pretty Boy) Trailer

There are a lot of good korean dramas this last quarter of 2013. I'm currently watching Lee Min Ho's HEIRS and Yoon Eun Hye's MARRY HIM IF YOU DARE (KBS World, Mon and Tues, 9-10pm UTC +8). Another drama to look forward to is Jang Geun Seuk's BEL AMI (previously Pretty Boy). The series will start on November 20  in Korea but it will be shown in KBS World on December 4 (Weds and Thurs, 9-10pm UTC +8)

Jang Geun Seuk and IU in PRETTY BOY

Jang Geun Seuk will have a new series together with IU in KBS entitled PRETTY BOY. The TV drama will be shown starting November 20. IU will play Kim Bo-Tong who has a longtime crush on Geun Seuk's character, Dokgo Mate.

I'm not much of an IU fan but I guess I'll just have to see if I'll love her in this new TV drama. I didn't like the team up at first but  the released promotional photos portraying her as a middle school student looks convincing. Geun Seuk is sporting a much darker hair color which I like...I just wish his hair is much shorter because he looks cuter with short hair. 

Park Shin Hye in Taiwanese Remake of "You're Beautiful"

I like the Korean series "You're Beautiful". This was the series that made Jang Geun Seuk part of my "I-wish-you-were-my-boyfriend-Oppa" list. It's a nice romantic-comedy feel good series so it's really worth watching. Besides, Jang Geun Seuk and Park Shin Hye pairing is too darn cute! :)

I think "You're Beautiful" was the series that really made Jang Geun Seuk a hallyu star. Japan made a remake in 2011 and now it's Taiwan's turn. But what makes the Taiwan version, Fabulous Boys,  interesting is that Park Shin Hye made a cameo appearance in the first episode. When I read about this news, I immediately search youtube and look what I found! :)

By the way, the voice of the male lead, Jiro Wang, also resembles that of Jang Geun Seuk's voice. Check out Jiro Wang singing "Promise" (Taiwan version of You're Beautiful theme song) in youtube.

KBS Drama Awards 2010

I love December! Not only because it's Christmas season but also because it's the time of the year when Korean TV Stations hold their annual drama awards. The KBS Drama Awards Night is telecast live via KBS World every December 31 so for three years now, I've been watching the show and joining Korea in their new year countdown (And since Korea is one hour ahead of the Philippines, I still have time to celebrate New Year's Eve with my family after the show.) I used to endure watching the show without english subtitles but this time, I was able to watch the show online with English hosts/commentators translating the speeches and showing celebrity backstage interviews.

Unlike other blogs, I will not make a rundown of all the winners. I will just mention those winners who have made an impact and captured my heart! :)

Jang Geun Suk Speaks Tagalog!

The Tagalog-dubbed version of the Korean series, You're Beautiful, was shown in ABS-CBN a few months ago. I never got the chance to watch it so I was so surprised when I came across this video of Jang Geun Suk inviting his Filipino fans to watch the series. So cute! ABS probably used this video as teaser for the series. :)

I heard about the korean series, You're Beautiful, a few months back but I never got to watch it because I was so addicted to Pinoy Big Brother: Double-Up Edition.
Anyway, after PBB ended, I decided to start moving on from my MELASON addiction and ended up watching You're Beautiful.
And it was a good decision because I'm now back to my old love...watching korean series!!!
Jang Geun Suk ( like my previous oppas - Lee Dong Wook, Hyun Bin, Lee Min Ho, Gong Yoo etc...) brought out the school girl in me again!!! I'm back to watching behind-the-scenes clips and NGs of my fave korean series and back to soompi surfing! ha!ha!

My fave You're Beautiful behind-the-scenes:

1. Kissing Scene - I love this one because Jang Geun Suk accidentally kissed Park Shin Hye during their shoot! ha!ha! see 4:23-4:26

2. Bed Scene - I also super love this one. Shin Hye was just laughing and laughing as if she was really thrilled to be with Geun Seuk.

3. Kissing Scene2 - I think that the behind-the-scenes clips are way better than the ones seen on the telecast itself!!!!!!!!! weeeehhh!!!! JGS is love!love!love!
