Lee Dong Wook and Lee Junki As Tour Guides (Part1)

It's really sad when a favorite Korean celebrity enters military service. But what's nice about some of them is that they usually join the entertainment unit like Lee Dong Wook and Lee Junki. By joining this special unit, they become more accessible to fans despite their two-year mandatory military training.

Lee Dong Wook, for instance, is a part of a miltary radio program every 6-8pm every Mondays to Saturdays together with Kim Jae Won. Korean fans not only get to listen to his voice every day but also can communicate with him by sending him letters and he, in turn, reads them on air! :)

Recently, Lee Dong Wook and Lee Junki were chosen to be tour guides in a photo exhibit which commemorates the Korean War Anniversary. The exhibit started last June 25 and it will run until August 18. Both of them are assigned every Wednesdays and Sundays. Wookie at 10:30 am and Junki at 12 noon. Fans can actually just register to see both of them up close in person. How cool is that? :)

Lee Jun Ki Enters Military Service

I never had a crush on Lee Jun Ki but he has always been close to my heart because he starred in my fave korean series, My Girl (in 2006). I've been following his showbiz career since then just like Lee Da Hae and Lee Dong Wook.

Junki was supposed to star in the korean drama, Faith, but because of his army enlistment, he was dropped from the cast. Today, he showed up and bade his fans goodbye with his new army haircut which made him look like a teener. ha!ha! He entered the Nonsan Training Center today for his 5-week basic training and afterwards he is expected to go on active duty for the next two years (just like my dear Wookie!)

My Girl in Studio 23

My all-time fave korean series, MY GIRL, will be back this march on studio 23. hep!hep! hooray!!!!!!!!!!!

According to my friends at PEx, the series will start on March 23, 11 am at studio 23.

Lee Junki off to the army soon

It seems that my fave MY-GIRL-oppas are enlisting in the army soon. First, there was the news about Lee Dong Wook going to military service towards the end of 2008. Wookie's manager reportedly said that his birthday fanmeet last November 2007 might just be his last one. Now, Lee Junki also expressed his desire to enlist next year. According to popseoul," Junki feels that it’s the right time to go. He added that if there are other opportunities after “Illjimae,” he might grab them, if not, this might be his last production before he goes off to the army."
