It was fun watching Lee Min Ho and Son Ye Jin's PERSONAL TASTE but this series pales in comparison with Boys Over Flowers. How I wish BOF's Goo Jun Pyo and Geum Jan Di had more romantic moments just like in Personal Taste! :)
The Tagalog-dubbed version will start airing tomorrow, Nov 8 in ABS-CBN.

Personal Preference

Synopsis:
Jeon Jin Ho (Lee Min Ho), a budding architect, wants to get to know more the architecture of Park Kae In's (Son Ye Jin) traditional korean house since it is the focus of his current project. In order to do that, he pretends to be gay and rents a room in Kae In's house. Kae In agrees because of financial problems. Things get complicated when both of them realize that they love each other.

My thoughts:
I only watched this series just because Lee Min Ho is in it. I first noticed him in Boys Over Flowers when he played the role of Goo Jun Pyo. When the news broke out that he was starring in another series, I thought that no matter how lousy the series was, I would still watch it because of him.
The plot is interesting actually. A handsome straight guy pretends to be gay. Then the guy falls in love with the weird, sloppy, nerdy girl. Of course, there's still the korean series trademark --- the typical "love-square"(Boy A falls in love with Girl A but Girl B also likes Boy A and Boy B likes Girl A) dilemma.
Lee Min Ho looks awkward in some scenes. ..Probably because he's too tall. He looks really lanky with his signature walk (because of his bad knee, I guess...).
I thought the series will tackle a cougar relationship because Son Ye Jin is much older than MinHo in real life. But age wasn't the issue in the series. It was as if both of them were of the same age in the series.
There were a lot of sweet moments in this series (which is not common in korean dramas). My mom even commented that there were a lot of kissing scenes in it! ha!ha!
And lastly, after watching all of the 16 episodes, I've come with up with the conclusion, that LEE MIN HO IS A GOOD KISSER! ha!ha! Watch the series and check out for yourself! You'll know what I mean! ha!ha!

Cougar Is In: Oh My Lady & Personal Taste
Yup! I think I'm back to my good old days...watching korean series again! ha!ha!
Two new series have caught my attention so far...

1. Oh My Lady - It stars Chae Rim ( from my fave Dalja's Spring) and Choi Si Won ( a member of the famous korean boy group, Super Junior). I must admit that even if I'm aware of the existence of Super Junior and I've watch my fave Sorry Sorry music video for a zillion times now, I really haven't noticed Choi Si Won until I watched the first episode of Oh My Lady. ha!ha! I guess there are just a lot of guys in the group that I failed to notice him. Anyway, after that, I immediately watched again SJ's music videos just to see Si Won. It's like watching the videos for the first time! ha!ha!
As for the series, the first episode was so interesting and funny that I think I'm gonna get hooked with this one till the end. I'm also actually curious if love with blossom from these two people since Chae Rim plays a 35-year old divorced mother and Si Won plays a twenty-something Korean celebrity.

2. Personal Taste - This is Lee Min Ho's comeback series after his successful portrayal of Goo Joon Pyo in Boys Over Flowers. He stars with pretty Son Ye Jin (from Summer Scent and The Classic). MinHo portrays Jeon Jin Ho who is a straight guy who pretends to be gay to become a roommate to his female friend (Ye Jin). The cast already had their press conference and I'm looking forward to this series because it's another interesting tandem (like Oh My Lady)--- girl falls in love with a younger guy! :)
