I'm thrilled that another asian star has penetrated the hollywood scene ( better if he was a filipino! ha!ha!). Lee Byung Hun will play the part of Storm Shadow, the ninja arch-nemesis of Snake Eyes (played by Ray Park) in the movie, G.I. Joe . What's so great about this is that --- not only does he get to do a movie with other hollywood stars like Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Joseph Levitt and many others....but he gets the chance to play a role one of the most famous toy characters in the 1980's.
I first saw Byung-hun in Once in A Summer with Soo Ae. I was really curious because I've been reading a lot of good reviews about him plus the fact that he has tons of korean fans. And of course, as expected, i loved his acting in that movie.
The movie will be released August 2009.
Oh well, I'll just have to watch Rain's Speed Racer first!
