Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae will star in a new MBC drama "Hotel King" . The first episode will air on March 29! At last, after 8 long years of waiting, my favorite Korean couple, Seol Gong Chan and Joo Yoo Rin ( My Girl, 2006) will be seen together again!!!!!!!!! Halleluyah!

Lee Da Hae Insults Filipinos' English Accent

I've always been a fan of Lee Da Hae ever since she played the role of Joo Yoo Rin of the 2006 korean series, My Girl. I've watched all her series and TV guestings. And when it comes to ranking korean actresses based on looks and talent, she has always been on top of my list. So I was shocked when I read about how she insulted the English accent of Filipinos. I tried not to judge her until I saw the video clip but when I saw it, I was really disappointed. I think it's so sad that koreans can make fun of English accents of other races when in fact, most of them barely speak English and if ever they can speak English, you can't hardly understand them at all.

Da Hae tried to explain her side via her twitter account, cherry4eva84, but still I'm hurt. I've admired her for so long and it pains me to realize that she's not sensitive to the feelings of others.

Asia Song Festival 2009

The Asia Song Festival 2009 was held last September 19. The show featured singers from Korea and other Asian countries. I'm wondering why the Philippines didn't send any representative this year....
Anyway, I also found out from Lee Da Hae's thread at soompi that she was the host of the show.

Lee Da Hae Quits East of Eden

I was hoping for a Seung hun - Dahae team-up in East of Eden..... Why? because that was the press release during the MBC's promotion ...But alas, the management had to change the script.

Of course I understand Dahae if she decided to quit the series. The change of script/role wasn't what she signed up for. I don't think she's acting like a primadonna.

I don't get Seung Heon's message at all...." Frankly, I don’t think that the character, Lee Dong Chul is able to accept love from so many women. I feel that from the viewers perspective, it would be outright awkward for them to accept such a forced relationship (Dong Chul and Hye Rin) being acted out in front of them. As an actor, I also couldn’t quite accept this story development. But I might have created some misunderstanding after conveying my opinion to the director/screenwriter." --- (credit coolsmurf's domain)

For me, it was an acknowledgement that he had a hand in Dahae's change of role...from a leading lady...to a mere extra.

And why change the script? Because fans want more of the seung hun - yeon hee team-up??? Argggghhhh!!!!! I don't have anything against Lee Yeon Hee...but what the management did to Dahae was totally unfair.

And to top it off...MBC removed Lee Dahae's image in the official poster of East of Eden which was shown during the annual MBC Awards Night. Talk about the MBC-Dahae feud....MBC is really pissed off with DaHae!!!

Lee Da Hae To Star in East of Eden

At last, after several weeks of absence, Lee Da Hae resurfaces again. This time with good news for all her fans. She will play the female lead, Hye-rin, in the upcoming MBC drama , East of Eden which will be shown this August. She will be working with Autumn Tale's Song Seung Heon (my latest addition to my long list of korean oppas!!!!! )and Yeon Jung Hoon ( I don't have the faintest idea who he is. I have yet to see his past series! :) )
